My Birthday Cake
I can’t believe the last post I wrote was so long ago, how time flies! Being away from the blogging world for so long has made me rusty round the edges! To be honest I miss being connected to the world – it can feel lonely being isolated.
Stuffed Tomatoes
My vegetable patch is full of tomatoes lately, and even though it’s the end of summer, there’s no stopping the new foliage and green fruit appearing. Za’tar Flat Bread
It’s been fairly quiet on the blogging front, and by no means quiet on the home front. Strange I know, since so many love the hot weather, and there’s me getting nose bleeds and migraine attacks when it’s really sunny! Continue reading

If you have many recipes calling for just egg yolks, the idea of throwing the perfectly good whites is certainly out of the question in my kitchen. I sometimes make an egg white omelette (not as tasty as the original of course), fluff up pancakes or macaroni cheese, or add to cake batters to make them lighter. Continue reading
Rye Bread
The first rye bread I tasted was those square sliced ones you see in a vacuum packed bag with an astonishing expiry date of another whole year. The funny thing is that as I went through the list of ingredients I couldn’t really see anything peculiar, all sounded normal and non-artificial with no non-pronounceable preservatives. Maybe it was just the vacuum packing? Although I finished the pack in the end, I didn’t particularly enjoy eating it and didn’t fancy trying rye bread again. Continue reading
